1. Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account or using SCS Tasks, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. SCS Tasks is intended for approved adult workplace users. You must be at least 18, have authority to accept these terms, and follow the policies of the organization that approved your access. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Accounts and organizational access

You must provide accurate information, use only your own sign-in account, protect your device and credentials, and promptly report unauthorized access. New accounts may require administrator approval. Your organization controls roles, company membership, task access, and account activation. We may suspend or close accounts that are unauthorized, inactive, compromised, or used in violation of these terms.

3. Acceptable use

You may use SCS Tasks only for lawful, authorized workplace activities. You must not:

  • impersonate another person, misrepresent task completion, falsify check-ins, or submit misleading records;
  • upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, probe security, disrupt the service, or bypass permissions;
  • use another person’s personal data or confidential information without authority;
  • copy, scrape, reverse engineer, resell, or exploit the service except where law expressly permits it;
  • use SCS Tasks for unlawful surveillance, discrimination, harassment, fraud, or other illegal activity; or
  • help another person do anything prohibited by these terms.

4. User-created content and conduct

Tasks, comments, replies, images, documents, and other material submitted by users are user-created content. You remain responsible for what you submit and must have the rights and workplace authorization needed to share it. User-created content must be accurate, relevant to legitimate work, and appropriate for the authorized team.

You must not submit content that:

  • is threatening, abusive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, exploitative, or intended to harass;
  • promotes violence, self-harm, illegal goods, criminal conduct, or dangerous deception;
  • infringes privacy, confidentiality, copyright, trademark, or any other right;
  • contains credentials, malicious code, spam, or irrelevant commercial promotion; or
  • otherwise violates law, Google Play policies, Apple policies, or your organization’s rules.

Report objectionable content or conduct from the available in-app reporting control or by emailing notify@scstasks.com. Include the task or content identifier and enough context to investigate, but do not send passwords. Administrators may remove content, restrict users, preserve evidence, or take other proportionate action. Repeated or serious violations can result in account suspension or termination.

Mobile users can also block another active user from an assignee or comment control. Blocking hides that user’s comment bodies for the blocker; it does not erase operational records or prevent authorized administrators from reviewing reported content. Blocked users can be managed from Settings.

5. Location verification

Some task actions request a one-time foreground location check-in. A super administrator may also send an expiring request for a user’s current location. The request is shown to the user, can be declined, and shares only one fresh GPS reading after approval. Authorized super administrators may view the coordinates, accuracy, time, and applicable task context for the selected 15, 30, or 60 minutes. You must not spoof or manipulate location data. SCS Tasks does not authorize continuous, background, or covert worker tracking.

6. Your content and service operation

You retain ownership of content you create. You grant SCS Tasks and the applicable organization a limited right to host, copy, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, administer, and comply with law for the service. You should retain independent copies of important business records where required by your organization.

7. Third-party services

Optional or supporting functions may use Google or Apple sign-in, Google Maps, Google Calendar, Expo application updates, email delivery, and other third-party services. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

8. Availability, changes, and updates

We work to keep SCS Tasks available and reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may maintain, update, add, limit, or discontinue features to improve security, comply with law, or meet operational needs. Mobile users may need to install updates to continue using the service safely.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, SCS Tasks is provided on an “as available” basis without implied warranties that can lawfully be excluded. SCS Tasks supports operational decisions but does not replace workplace safety procedures, professional judgment, legal obligations, or independent verification. To the extent permitted by law, the service operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

10. Termination and deletion

You may stop using SCS Tasks at any time and request deletion through the account deletion page. Suspension, departure from an organization, and account deletion are different actions. Certain operational or legal records may be retained or anonymized as explained in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing terms and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, without limiting any mandatory rights that apply where you live. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Questions, reports, or notices may be sent to notify@scstasks.com.
